The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times – Matthew 24
24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
Today is March 31st. 2024, Easter Sunday. I have avoided watching National news for the past few weeks because it just drives me crazy and changes my attitude for the worse. But the last thing I saw a week or so ago was Washington taking sides against Israel in this latest Israel-Gaza war.
People are all running their mouths saying the Battle of Armageddon is near. Well, no, it really isn’t. But they’re unguided, earth based souls don’t know any better. Everything that is going to happen on earth has an order to which it will happen. You cannot have Armageddon without the battle of Gog and Magog first and as of this date, That hasn’t happened yet. What is happening is what Jesus spoke of in the beginning of Matthew 24. Watch out for deception, we will hear of wars and rumors of wars, Nation will rise against nation, Kingdom against Kingdom, Famines and earthquakes in various places. All of those are just the beginning.
My biggest fear, more so than Armageddon is the Nations rising against nations and Kingdoms against kingdoms. This to me tells us that society is growing mad and is about to explode against each other. Maybe produce a civil war in a way. If not civil war then surely civil disobedience.
On April 8th. 2024 North America will experience a full solar eclipse. The nations largest wireless carriers are expecting networks to go down. Internet and Cellular alike. We are a communications driven society and culture. Can you imagine the United States losing most Cellular and Internet even for a few hours? It will be total chaos! And then those in the area where the view of this will be the best will now have to fight to simply drive to the store and then pay with cash, completely changing their set routine. Now, what if this lasts for days?
A lack of food and technology will push many over the edge. Many who are already stressed out just because of the changes going on in our world right now. Then there are those who will take full advantage of the chaos by creating their own madness and insanity with protest, crime and civil unrest. This eclipse could be the very thing that forces those unstable minds to unleash their anger. This would be a domino affect that would very quickly spiral out of control.
In the united states we have a 9 day stockpile of grocery store food. After 9 days, if you want to eat you better have it stockpiled or know how to live off the land.
Currently, as of right freaking now, there is a national shortage of Diabetic insulin and narcotic pain medicine. There may be a shortage of even more I just haven’t heard of it yet. Is this the beginning of famine?
These are signs of something coming, something that will test the faith of the most faithful and give new faith to the faithless. Yes, these are troubling times but if you are a follower of Jesus, you have nothing to fear.
From Matthew 24:36 to the end of Chapter 24 Jesus gives us a lot of hope but he also tells us that we will not know when his coming will be.
24:36But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
But there is a promise here. And in Matthew 24:44 it tells us this.
24:44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
Jesus is coming back, We don’t know the time but he is coming so we have to be ready or we might miss him. This is the hope that keeps us. Its a promise, he will be returning so be ready. Being ready does not mean living in fear in a dark corner of a basement It means that we are fully trusting in the Lord and his word. We are comforting each other. We are saving the lost, we are praying for the nation, we are living the gospel!
The Battle of Armageddon is going to happen, one day. But those who stand with Christ have nothing to fear!
Pray, Pray for the wisdom and understanding of the scripture, Pray for guidance from Christ and the Holy Spirit. Don’t believe the garbage going around social media and television news. The earth is the devils playground, he has spun lies and evil though it and continues to lie and deceive those who will let him. But he has been beaten, Jesus Christ rose from the grave on the day we call Easter. He beet the devil and sin. He rose so that we have eternal life and never have to die because of sin. This is what Easter is about.
Wars and rumors of war are a calling to get right with God and Accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior today.
