I will pour out my Spirit on all people!

“’In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. ~ Acts 2:17-18 NIV

I always believed this scripture meant that in the last days God would send out the Holy Spirit to all Christians. That we all would suddenly start speaking in tongues. That was stuck in my head for many years, up until today when I head a internet show that mentioned this scripture but used it differently. They didn’t explain it differently, just used it in something they were talking about and it dawned on me that I had it all wrong.

What the scripture it actually saying is that God will pour out his spirit to all flesh in the last days, meaning there will be one last massive calling to anyone with ears, anyone in crisis, anyone lonely, anyone who needs Jesus and it will probably be the last time God sends his spirit freely to all. One last Hoorah! One last calling before there is no more and the Holy Spirit is taking from the earth marking the beginning of the Great tribulation and the end times before the final Judgement.

We just might be in those times today, In fact many believe we are so if that is true, we don’t have much time left before major changes begin to happen on our planet and none of them are anything any one of us want to experience.

Right now could be the last time we have to minister, prophesize or pray over someone, save a soul, lead a blind person to the light of Jesus Christ! If we are in deed in those last days, where God is pouring out his spirit, we have an obligation to go out into the fields and gather his harvest, he has seeded the planet, its up to us to tender the crop, meaning those who have heard and repent!

Whether its a warning preceding the Rapture of the church or just a warning of the end times and tribulation, its not something to be taken lightly. It’s a mass calling of both the lost and the saved. The lost to come to Christ and the saved to get their house in order, come back in the event of backslide or minister to the newly saved!

Its amazing that after years of believing one thing about a scripture to find out it may not mean that but means something entirely different. And during a time many say are among the last days. Maybe that calling is in progress right now. Maybe I was finally meant to see the mysteries of the bible that I have always wondered about,.

Are we in the last days? If we are and you aren’t straight with God, its time to get straight! Confess your sins, Accept Christ into your life and if you already have him go bring others into the Kingdom who don’t have him!
