The LRH Radio ministry also includes my Radio hobby. My extensive use of Citizen Band radio, Shortwave radio and Police scanners. The hobby gives me a chance to blow off steam talking to friends and strangers on the worldwide radio waves. CB Radio is an amazing tool for this especially on Single Side Band where the range during Skip conditions can be limitless.
The Ministry is essentially about people coming together for a common goal. We do that by uniting people who like listening to scanners, talking on the radio and digging deep into commercial and personal radio to come fourth who also have one major thing in common, Our lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Were not a radio church, not a prepper church but a little of both and who enjoy talking about Jesus, studying the bible and checking out churches.
On the airwaves, My handle is 828 and often found on Citizens Band channel 34 USB and 39 LSB and channel 16 FM. I run a President Lincoln II+ in the shack on a Sirio ground plane omni directional antenna. In the car I run a President McKinley II with a Tram 3700 and a 4 ft. FireStick (when I need to drive down tree lane) I do listen to channel 38 LSB but don’t talk on it all that much anymore. There is a small group of us on MURS 1 (151.8200 PL: 173.8) operating in the SE part of the county. Just like any other hobby, we are people who love radio communications, camping and praising Jesus! So we sit around and tune in Christian shortwave stations broadcasting that super cool prophecy bible studies and charismatic preaching heard deep within the bluegrass country, discussing propagation, antenna builds, radio makes and features while testing our cooking of Patriot supply survival food all the while having a great time!
The bible tells us there will come a time where society will collapse. Those in Christ however, won’t suffer like those who are without him. It may come to a point that walking around becomes so dangerous that those of us in Christ will have to go underground to meet to avoid religious persecution. Radio communications would likely become a tool of communication to conduct basic welfare checks on each other and with polished survival skills, we won’t have to wander into Satan’s armies to obtain basic essentials like food and water.
Radio scanning will become essential even if we can’t hear Police or Military. So many other radio services will be broadcasting the dangers we are trying to avoid. International shortwave broadcast will likely be the only means of “free” news when the Beast starts censoring all forms of media. This is already starting today, FOX news is a great example, while them hem and haw at CNN and MSNOW, they too censor and ignore critical news every Christian should be hearing. Why not use every single tool at our disposal to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
